Have you ever heard that cold water fish are the best fish to eat, for instance haddock, cod, etc.. These are fish found in the Northern Atlantic and are on top of the food quality list. They live in cold environments. Each year, as winter approaches, and our water temps fall, we get the annual black seabass migration, where the bigger fish move south into the waters off our coast. We have an opportunity from January through April to catch big Black Sea Bass. They are very aggressive and are one of the best eating fish we catch off the coast of Jacksonville. This is a great time to fish for them and you don’t have to go all day. I recommend a 6hr trip, but you can do pretty good on a 4hr trips as well.
