Thursday, May 14, 2009 - Travis, Willie, Bob, and Ryan Back
Seas: 3-5 swell    Water Temp: 73°F Crew: Travis, Willie, Bob, and Ryan
Moon:     Location: MG, SS, BR
Species:   Category:
Report: What a day! Started out at MG and didn't do squat. There were thousands of jellyfish all over the water and the water was crystal clear. I guess the fish saw us coming. We left there and went to SS. Not really much to brag about. We lost 2 good fish to breakoffs, caught a couple speckled hinds and a nice lane snapper. The boys wanted a battle so off we went to BR to play with some Amberjack. We caught 4 greater amberjacks, an almaco jack, and lost several more to breakoffs! Couple of the AJ's were pushing 40lbs. The 30lb Boga Grip was maxed out. Plenty of meat for the table. Don't let anyone tell you amberjack isn't good to eat. It's actually quite good if it's prepared properly! Thanks guys, hope to see you again soon! Congrats again Travis!!
