The pogie hunt continues but not for most of the local charter captains. We have been jigging up cigar minnows and sardines offshore. It's the only bait within 50 miles of Mayport in any direction right now. The water temps are coming back up but slowly. Hopefully the pogies will show up sooner than later. If they don't the kingfish tournament is going to be chaos! Let's face it, the tournament is chaos every year anyway. We started out trolling this morning and the rods started going off immediately. We had a good bite for a couple hours then it died off. We made a few moves and found fish each time we stopped. After we limited out on kings we started bottom fishing some ledges trying for a grouper. We didn't get the grouper but we did pick up a handful of sea bass and threw back close to 50 red snapper. Between 3 anglers, the rods were pretty busy!
