Report: St Aug report. We started out our morning chasing tarpon and sharks in the pogy pods. There were some monster tarpon crashing pogies, sometimes knocking hundreds of pogies in the air with a single strike. Pretty amazing to watch. It never gets old! We hooked 2 tarpon and both came unhooked immediately; then we landed a nice blacktip shark. We caught our bait and started trolling about 19 miles east of St Aug. We only had 1 strike that missed the hooks. We went a little farther out and started bottom fishing. We got a limit of nice sized beeliners, 10-15 black sea bass, a small kingfish, a peanut dolphin, 18 big bluefish, a triggerfish, and threw back some pretty nice red snapper. The ocean started a little choppy but it layed down very nice for a comfortable ride back in to the ramp. Great crew!!
